Berber merchant. A Berber merchant with traditional djellaba and blue turban smiles to the camera trying to sell me a lot of souvenirs in his carpet and handicraft shop in the blue pearl of the Rif mountains, Chefchaouen (Morocco).
.
The name Chefchaouen is derived from the Berber and Arabic word isakon or echaouen which means 'the horns', and the word chef which means 'look at'. Chefchaouen thus means 'look at the horns', referring to both mountain peaks overlooking the area. Nowadays, Chefchaouen is known as "the Blue Pearl" of Morocco, known for its traditional houses painted in blue and white.

Holy man with orange tilaka. A holy man with an orange tilaka, a forehead religious decoration, rest near the shore of lake Pichola, Udaipur (Rajasthan, India).

The tilaka is a mark created by the application of powder or paste on the forehead. Depending on shape, a tilak denotes which Hindu religious group a person is part of.

One of the major tilaka variant is often worn by the followers of Shiva, known by the names of Rudra-tilaka and Tripundra. It consists of three horizontal lines across the forehead with a single vertical band or circle in the middle. This is traditionally done with sacred ash from fire sacrifices, sandalwood paste, turmeric, vermillion, cow dung, clay, charcoal, or red lead. This variant is the more ancient and shares many common aspects with similar markings worn across the world.

Western Wall. A Western Wall scene showing religious Jewish men wearing prayer shawl with black stripes, called "tallit", during the Passover prayers (Jerusalem).
.
The Western Wall, also known as Wailing Wall, Al-Buraq Wall, or simply the Kotel, is a relatively small segment of an ancient limestone wall in the Old City of Jerusalem. The term Western Wall commonly refers only to a 57 meters exposed section of a 488 meters long retaining wall on the western side of the Temple Mount, most of which is hidden behind medieval residential structures. The wall was originally built as a part of the expansion of the Second Jewish Temple begun by Herod the Great which resulted in a huge rectangular structure topped by a flat platform.
.
Due to its proximity to the Holy of Holies of Temple Mount, the Western Wall is considered the holiest site of Judaism, and because of the restrictions, the western flank is the place where Jews are permitted to pray.

Unfortunatelly, skin tone prejudice is still widespread and practised openly across India. It is partly a product of colonial prejudices, and it has been aggravated by caste, regional differences and Bollywood, the nation’s film industry, which has long promoted fair-skinned actors and actresses.

Skin colour determines the very quality of your life and the availability of opportunities right from jobs to marriage prospects. This is the reality of so many people’s lives in this country.

Sadhus are ascetics who have renounced material attachments in order to practice yoga and meditation in search of personal power and higher knowledge.
.
They are sometimes alternatively referred to as yogi. Although the vast majority of sadhus are yogis, not all yogis are sadhus. Sadhus are solely dedicated to achieving mokṣa (liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth), the fourth and final aśrama (stage of life), through meditation and contemplation of Brahman.
